Defender Danny Rose has agreed to extend his loan spell at Newcastle until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old joined from Tottenham in January on a six-month loan deal, which was due to expire on June 30.
Rose, who has a year left on his current contract at Spurs, has now signed a short-term deal until August, according to Sky Sports.
Rose made his debut as a substitute against Norwich and made five more appearances before the season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Newcastle are currently preparing for the resumption of the Premier League.
Steve Bruce’s team are 13th in the table, eight points clear of the drop zone, and are due to host Sheffield United on June 21.
Newcastle also have an FA Cup quarter-final at home to holders Manchester City scheduled on June 28.
