I Thought My Mum Hated Me- Stella Seal.

The treatment from her mum to her was harsh which made her conclude that her mum hated her.

Speaking on ‘Restoration’ with Stacy, she revealed that when she was young, she was compelled to assist her mother to sell food in the morning before going to school.

Usually my mother will wake me up before 4am, we will go for bread from the bakers. I will go and sell early morning and rush back to school. When I come, my mother sells Yam at the market, after selling at Mallam Atta market , she comes to Accra New Town station to sell to the workers”.

She didn’t want to pay for truck pusher because if she calculates the money she will pay to the truck pusher everyday and multiply it by a week. So She will tell me to come carry the yam after school and head to the station. I will do that, go back home to do my homework and go back to the market at about 9pm to help her to pack.”

She added that her mum sold other stuffs like charcoal, groundnut, kerosene so she barely sleeps.
According to her, when she sleeps “she will pour water on you and wake you up. I thought she hated me. But when I became a woman of my own, I sleep at 12 midnight and wake at 4am because I realized I wasn’t lazy”.
