Lyon will reportedly put midfielder Houssem Aouar up for sale this summer for a fee of around £43million (€50million)
The French club are eager to cash in on the talented France Under-21 international, as reported by L’Equipe.
Manchester City are interested in signing Aouar, with Pep Guardiola rating the 21-year-old highly.
There is set to be a significant amount of interest in Aouar this summer, with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain also monitoring the situation.
A fine passer of the ball with excellent technique, Aouar has been at Lyon since 2009 and broke into the first-team in 2017.
In total he has made 133 appearances for Lyon and has scored 24 goals.
Lyon are currently in seventh place in Ligue 1 and Aouar may well relish the chance to join a club where he would be more likely to win silverware on a regular basis.
Aouar’s current contract at Lyon is set to run until the summer of 2023, but it seems likely that he will depart before then.
