Rastafarian-Achimota Saga: Management To Appeal High Court’s Ruling Ordering The School To Admit The Students

When we thought the two Rastafarian students and Achimota School saga has just ended, there is a new twist to the story again.

The management of Achimota School says it will appeal the High Court’s decision ordering the school to admit two Rastafarian students.

Initially, the school had refused to admit to two Rastafarian students who were denied admission because of their hairstyle.

This issue garnered a lot conversations and mixed reactions from Ghanaians.

Tyrone Iras Marhguy, one of the two Rastafarian students who were denied admission to Achimota took the case to court.

However, the court initially dismissed the case but upon appeal, the court has finally ruled in favor of Tyrone Iras Marhguy.

In a letter sighted by Ghanaarticles.com, the School Board says it disagrees with the High Court ruling and would therefore appeal.
