‘I Wanted To Stage A Coup And Overthrow Prez Kuffour Because…’ – Sam George Reveals (Video)

Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Hon. Sam George has made a shocking revelation in his latest interview about former president Agyekum Kuffour.

The NDC big man said he picked up Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) forms in 2005 just to overthrow Kuffour’s government.

Speaking in an interview on Neat FM, Mr Sam George revealed his main reason to overthrow NPP’s government at the time was because he didn’t like them.

Mr John Agyekum Kuffour became the second President of the 4th Republic of Ghana in 2001 to 2009.

“I picked up Armed Forces  forms in 2005 and the reason why I wanted to enter the military was to stage a coup and overthrow Kuffour, because I didn’t like the NPP,” he said.

He admitted he was young and he had just graduated from the university at age 20.

He described his actions at time as a result of youthful exuberance not because he was rebellious young boy.

Meanwhile, suspended NDC member, Koku Anyidoho angrily reacted to comments made by Hon Sam George.

In reaction, he said he was born and raised at Burna Camp and all the military officers he saw who joined the GAF had good conscience.

“I detest any lose talk that suggest that the GAF is conduit for coup,” he tweeted.

Mr Koku Anyidoho then called on the PR Department of the GAF to come out and condemn the comments the MP made.
