#FixTheCountry: Fix Your Mentality First – Kuami Eugene Tells Campaigners

Reigning VGMA artiste of the year, Kuami Eugene has added his voice to the #FixTheCountry campaign going viral on social media.

In the past few days, Ghanaians on social media have taken the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led government to task by outlining the various issues slowing Ghana’s growth and its effects on citizens.

According to him, Ghanaians should first fix their mentality before stepping out to order the government.

While speaking in an interview with Star FM monitored by Ghanaarticles.com, the Kuami Eugene said he would be glad to see Ghanaians campaigning #FixYourself instead of #FixTheCountry.

“My concern is the entertainment industry, every stakeholder from the content creator to the DJs and presenters, we should prioritize our creative pieces just like we do to other nationals.

“On our music charts which are supposed to be a Ghanaian Chart, we see more of Nigerian music mostly topping these charts and we need to fix our mentality towards our own people and what is produced here then after that is achieved, we can channel this energy to help fix our country.” he said.

He added that to be patriotic, one has to support and promote products made here in Ghana.
