GNFA Bans Television Stations In Ghana To Stop Showing Telenovelas From May 2021

Ghana National Film Authority has finally issued an official statement that suggests that starting from May 2021, television stations in Ghana should stop showing telenovelas.

Per the statement signed by Socrate Safo, contents of movies will be classified and scrutinized before they will be broadcasted live for the public domain.

In this case, all television reality shows which does not fall under this criteria will be rejected.

In other words, any television stations which projects other country’s culture instead of Ghana won’t be allowed to operate in the nation.

This step according to our reliable source is taken to aid the revival of the Kumawood industry which has collapsed for years.
