The president of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Nana Akufo-Addo has appointed 33 new heads to represent Ghana as ambassadors and high commissioners abroad.
The news broke into the public space after our media outlet spotted a one-page document dated 1st March 2021 addressed to the statehouse seeking its indulgence of the constitutional mandate to be carried out.

This was done in accordance with Article 74(1) of the Constitution of Ghana, which mandates the president to appoint heads of missions in consultation with the council.

High Commissioners represent diplomatic missions in member states of the commonwealth of nations and Ambassadors represent diplomatic missions in other states.
