EC Debunks Reports that Jean Mensa Has Declared John Mahama President-elect

The Electoral Commission (EC) has rubbished reports that, Chairperson, Jean Mensa has announced Mr John Mahama as the president-elect.

Madam Jean Mensa declared incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo as the president-elect in the just ended 2020 general elections.

The NDC and its flagbearer, Mr Mahama have refused to accept the presidential results declared by the Ec.

According to them, they believe Mr Mahama won but the EC rigged the elections in NPP and Akufo-Addo’s favor.

The NDC and it’s supporters have since held a series of protest and have no intentions of conceding defeat until the results are overturned.

According to the press release from EC, there’s a video circulating which shows Jean Mensa declaring Mahama winner of the 2020 presidential results.

However, the EC stated emphatically that such video has been treated as false by the public.

As they urged the public to disregard the video and see Nana Akufo-Addo as the president-elect.
