‘If You Want To Be Poor, Continue Betting’ – Bishop Dag Heward-Mills

The founder of Lighthouse Group of Church, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills has advised the youth on what to do to avoid poverty coming their way.

According to him, sports betting is associated with poverty and so anybody who continues placing betting on sports teams will only end up being poor in the future and nobody should be blamed.

Educating his church members during a church service, the renowned Bishop stated that initially he was into betting but after seeing the effects of it, he backed off hence his advise.

He said, “…When I was younger, I used to go to the horse races… and you’d see them coming, sometimes fifteen of them and those of us who were betting, you choose one and you bet on that one. I hear students have been betting? Look, If you want to be poor, continue betting.”
