Manchester Derby: Man United and Man City Stalemate as United Home Curse Continues

The 151th Manchester derby ended in an uninspiring goalless draw at Old Trafford, as both teams shared the spoils.

However, this derby rarely threatened to serve up similar levels of drama to the last time they met.

Scott McTominay’s late strike from distance secured a 2-0 victory for United in both sides’ last games in front of a full crowd back in March.

Riyad Mahrez had City’s best chance of the match in the first half but was denied by David de Gea from close range after Kevin De Bruyne’s cute through ball.

United thought they’d been given an opportunity to take the lead from 12 yards when Marcus Rashford was felled by Kyle Walker after the break.
