The Government of Ghana has ordered that all national flags be flown at half-mast in memory of the late Minister for Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, and six others who perished in a tragic military helicopter crash.

The fatal crash occurred on Wednesday, August 6, in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region, as the officials were travelling to Obuasi on official duty.

Chief of Staff Julius Debrah announced the government’s directive, expressing profound sorrow over the loss of the two senior government ministers and their colleagues.
