Evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has declared she would go to extreme lengths including burning down her own church, if Acting Ghana Gold Board CEO Sammy Gyamfi loses his job over a controversial $800 gift he gave her.
The viral video of Gyamfi handing dollar notes to Agradaa sparked outrage, particularly from the Minority in Parliament, who called the gesture unethical and demanded his removal.
Reacting via Instagram, Agradaa expressed deep concern that her involvement could jeopardize Gyamfi’s career. “This is my mantle, my Bible, and my anointing oil. I will set my church on fire if I am the reason Sammy will lose his job,” she said.
She further defended Gyamfi’s generosity, quoting scripture to justify the act. “The Bible said we should do good to everybody. It didn’t discriminate. If Sammy Gyamfi gives me money, he deserves to do that,” she asserted.
To help defuse the situation, Agradaa also pledged to return the money. “I will return the $800 and film it as evidence if that’s what it’ll take for Sammy Gyamfi not to lose his job and for the NDC members to leave me alone,” she added.
