52 students from Ghana’s 16 regions have been recognized for their academic excellence in the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the 32nd President’s Independence Day Awards Ceremony.
The ceremony, held on March 5, 2025, honored:
- 32 students from public junior high schools
- 16 students from private institutions
- 4 students with hearing and visual impairments
Each awardee received a plaque, a laptop, and educational supplies, courtesy of Nestlé Ghana, the event sponsor.
Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang commended the students and urged them to continue striving for excellence:
“You have come far, but you have much further to go. Keep going, realize your potential, and pursue your dreams. Do not stop yourself, and do not allow others to stop you.”
Georgios Badaro, Managing Director of Nestlé Ghana, reiterated the company’s commitment to sustainability, stating:
“We are working closely with our suppliers to improve the value chain, enhance quality, and promote sustainable farming practices in Ghana.”
