A fatal motorcycle accident near a galamsey site at Twifo Mmaa Baasa in the Twifo Atti Morkwa District of the Central Region has claimed the life of 22-year-old Nana Yaw, a recent Senior High School graduate.
According to an eyewitness, Nana Yaw was on a motorcycle and speaking on the phone when he lost control and collided with another motorcyclist. The impact threw him off the bike, resulting in a severe neck injury.
He was rushed to the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The second motorcyclist is reportedly in critical condition and receiving treatment at the same hospital.
The deceased’s body was transported to the hospital’s morgue by unidentified individuals.
Interestingly, the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Police Commander, DSP Charles Addei Boateng, stated that the police had not been informed of the incident.
