22-Year-old John Allister on Trial for the Murder of a Business Woman in Kumasi Pleads Guilty to Stealing GH¢ 167,660 from a Hotel Manager in Separate Case

In a shocking turn of events, 22-year-old John Allister, the security guard who is currently on trial for the alleged murder of his boss, has pleaded guilty to charges of theft in an unrelated case. Allister admitted to stealing a phone and a substantial amount of GH¢167,660 from a hotel owner in Kumasi, under the guise of seeking employment.

It can be recalled that just two weeks after being employed by his boss, Allister allegedly murdered her by stabbing her with a knife and then fled the scene in her car, which he later sold. The incident sent shockwaves through the community and sparked a massive manhunt for the suspect.

However, before the trial for the murder case could commence, Allister’s guilty plea in the theft case has added another layer of complexity to the ongoing legal proceedings. The revelation of his involvement in a separate criminal act has raised questions about his character and potential motives behind the murder.

According to reports, Allister had approached the hotel owner, posing as a job seeker. Taking advantage of the opportunity, he stole the hotel owner’s phone and a substantial amount of money before making his escape. The stolen funds amounting to GH¢167,660 were a significant blow to the hotel owner’s business, causing financial distress and raising concerns about security measures in the area.
