2026 Budget: Govt to Complete 10 Abandoned Agenda 111 Hospital Projects – Ato Forson

Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has announced that the government will complete 10 abandoned Agenda 111 hospital projects in 2026 to bolster public healthcare infrastructure.

Presenting the 2026 Budget to Parliament on Thursday, November 13, Dr. Forson said the initiative underscores the government’s commitment not only to constructing new healthcare facilities but also to efficiently completing existing projects.

Ongoing projects set for completion include La General Hospital, Effia Nkwanta Hospital in Sekondi-Takoradi, the Komfo Anokye Maternity Block, and the Ashanti Regional Hospital in Sewua.

“These projects symbolise our commitment to restoring trust and confidence in public healthcare delivery,” Dr. Forson stated.

He added that alongside completing these facilities, the government will focus on expanding access to healthcare, modernising infrastructure, and integrating technology to build an efficient, inclusive, and resilient healthcare system.
