2025 Budget: Gov’t Allocates GH¢100m Monthly for Assembly Members

Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has announced a GH¢100 million allocation for the monthly allowances of all Assembly Members across the country.

Presenting the 2025 Budget Statement to Parliament on Tuesday, March 11, Dr. Forson emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting local governance through this initiative.

He also disclosed that the government has set aside resources to assist victims of recent tidal waves in the Ketu South constituency, which displaced residents of Agavedzi and surrounding communities. He assured that the Ministry of Works and Housing has been allocated enough resources to address the disaster.

These measures aim to enhance local governance and provide relief to affected communities, reinforcing the government’s commitment to addressing national and local challenges.
