Black Stars coach, Otto Addo, has expressed his determination to lead Ghana to victory against Sudan in their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier. After three winless matches, the pressure is on as Ghana faces Sudan in the second leg of their doubleheader on Tuesday at the Martyrs of February Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the match, Addo highlighted the team’s unfortunate outcomes in their recent games against Angola and Sudan, despite creating numerous chances. He believes the Black Stars deserve better results and is confident that his team can secure the much-needed three points in this crucial encounter.
“We created a lot of chances against Angola and deserve to win,” Addo said. “We didn’t play well against Niger, but we’ve been unlucky. This is our third match, and if we play like we did in the last game, we can win.”
Ghana currently sits third in their group with two points, and a win against Sudan is essential to keep their AFCON qualification hopes alive. The match is set to kick off at 13:00 GMT on Tuesday.
