The Ghana Police Service has said its investigations over the months have revealed that two Police Officers have been involved in Bullion Van robberies in the country in recent times.
The Police in a statement noted the number of Bullion Van robberies in Accra including the infamous James Town attack which led to the killing of an officer saying the public will soon be briefed on details.
The Statement noted the Police will continue to work to rid the country of robberies.
In June 2021 Police officer was shot dead by suspected armed robbers in an attack on a bullion van at Adedenpo near James Town in Accra Monday.
Reports said the officer who was with the National SWAT team of the Police was escorting the money in the vehicle and was seated in the front seat.
