“We Have Delivered Over 70% of Our Promises” – Oppong Nkrumah

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Manifesto Committee, has declared that the Akufo-Addo government has fulfilled more than 70% of its promises made in the 2020 manifesto.

Speaking during an interview on Channel One TV’s “The Point of View,” the former Information Minister highlighted economic achievements such as a stabilized cedi and reduced inflation as evidence of the government’s progress.

Oppong Nkrumah refuted allegations that the NPP has not delivered on its commitments, urging the public to examine the data for themselves.

He also mentioned that the NPP has developed new policies to address ongoing national challenges, which they plan to implement if re-elected.

He emphasized that while they have not achieved 100% of their promises, they have made significant strides. He acknowledged the impact of inflation and currency depreciation, but noted that these issues have been improving due to government interventions.

Oppong Nkrumah further stated that the government is taking responsibility for the rising cost of living and other challenges, and is committed to addressing them.

He encouraged Ghanaians to consider the track records of both major political parties, represented by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the NPP and John Dramani Mahama for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), when making their decisions in the upcoming elections.
