President Buhari Sacks Ministers In Rare Reshuffle

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked two of his ministers in an unusual cabinet reshuffle.

Those affected are the minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Mohammed Sabo Nanono and his counterpart from the Ministry of Power, Sale Mamman.

It’s not clear why they have been removed but a statement from the presidency says Mr Buhari took the decision after an “independent and critical self-review” of government programmes and policies.

It adds that such reviews help the administration “identify and strengthen weak areas, close gaps, build cohesion and synergy” in governance and in managing the economy.

Boosting agriculture and the economy have been among Mr Buhari’s priorities.

The current environment minister has been asked to oversee the agriculture ministry while the minister of works and housing is to take charge of the power ministry until new minsters are appointed.

President Buhari, who came to office in 2015, rarely reshuffles his cabinet.

But his spokesperson Garba Shehu told the BBC more ministers are likely to be replaced soon.

His copy was unmistakably dazed by the deed of Kuami Eugene and uncovered he has never seen such cash and contemplated whether it is legal to use in Ghana.

The presenters and panelists on the show all applauded and communicated appreciation to Kuami Eugene for what he did.

Kuami Eugene then, at that point, took pictures with his copy who looked actually like one another.

From the composition to the haircut and method of dressing, they strike some resemblance.

BREAKING: South Africa’s Final Apartheid-Era President Dies Age 85

FW de Klerk, the former president of South Africa and the last white man to lead the country, has died at the age of 85.

Mr de Klerk, who was also a key figure in the nation’s transition to democracy, had been diagnosed with cancer this year, a spokesman said.

Mr de Klerk was head of state between September 1989 and May 1994.

In 1990 he announced he was releasing anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela, leading to multi-party polls in 1994.

A statement from the former president’s FW de Klerk Foundation on Thursday morning read: “Former President FW de Klerk died peacefully at his home in Fresnaye (Cape Town) earlier this morning following his struggle against mesothelioma cancer.”

The foundation had announced the diagnosis – a cancer that affects the lining of the lungs – in June this year.

FW de Klerk had taken over from PW Botha as the head of the National Party in February 1989 and the following year announced he was removing the ban on parties that included Mr Mandela’s African National Congress (ANC).

His actions helped bring an end to apartheid-era South Africa, and he became one of the two deputy presidents after the multi-party elections in 1994 that saw Mr Mandela become president.

Mali Parliament Vice-President Freed

Mali’s interim parliament vice-president has been freed, weeks after he was arrested for public order offences.

Issa Kaou N’Djim was arrested in October and a ruling on his case is expected in December.

He was accused of making “subversive remarks”, which were not disclosed.

N’Djim is a supporter of Mali’s President Assimi Goïta but is a critic of Interim Prime Minister Choguel Kokalla Maïga.

His lawyers had said his detention was illegal because of a parliamentary immunity.
