Heavy Rainstorm Causes Power Outages in Parts of Accra – ECG

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has attributed the power outages, locally known as ‘dumsor,’ experienced in parts of the Greater Accra Region to a heavy rainstorm on Tuesday morning.

In a statement dated Tuesday, April 23, 2024, the ECG informed its customers in the Greater Accra Region that “the heavy rainstorm experienced today has caused outages within the distribution network.”

The power distributor assured customers that its engineers are working diligently to restore power supply to the affected areas.
