Police Arrest one Suspect in Connection with Robbery on Odumasi-Badu Road in Bono Region

The Ghana Police Service has detained an individual suspected of involvement in a robbery incident on the Odumase-Badu road near Sunyani, in the Bono Region, which occurred around 7 pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

During the incident, the suspect and several others who are currently at large, attacked and robbed students and lecturers from the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) who were returning from a field trip.

Tragically, a student named Abdul Aziz Issah lost his life during the assault. Six other students sustained minor injuries and have since been treated and discharged.

Police highway patrol units intervened swiftly, leading to the arrest of one individual.

A manhunt is underway to apprehend the remaining suspects and bring them to justice.
