The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the termination of all volunteer appointments across its offices as part of an ongoing restructuring process. This decision, effective February 28, 2025, was communicated in an official statement signed by the Director General of NSA, Felix Gyamfi, on Tuesday, February 25.
According to the statement, the move aims to streamline operations within the NSA. However, exceptions will be made in districts with only one staff member, where a single volunteer will be retained to provide support. Additionally, districts managed by volunteers will be allowed to keep one assistant, a cleaner, catering staff, and farm personnel to ensure continued functionality.
The NSA acknowledged the contributions of the affected volunteers, expressing gratitude for their dedication and commitment during their period of service.
In preparation for the transition, the communiqué directed Heads of Departments (HODs), Unit Heads, and Regional Directors to retrieve all NSA property, including laptops, documents, and motorbikes, from the outgoing volunteers before the deadline.
