NPP Reacts to Alan Kyerematen’s Resignation and Decision to Run as an Independent Candidate

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reacted to the recent decision made by Mr. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, a prominent member of their party, to resign from the party and run as an independent candidate in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

The party expressed deep regret over his departure, characterizing it as a highly unfortunate choice that could potentially impact their electoral prospects in the forthcoming elections. This is mainly because his candidacy as an Independent Candidate could lead to a significant division of votes within the party’s base.

In response to this development, the NPP leadership has called for a sense of calm among its members and supporters. They have announced their intention to address this matter officially on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at the Party’s headquarters.
