Four-time grand slam singles winner and reigning US Open and Australian Open champion, Naomi Osaka has her own Barbie doll collection.

Naomi, who has used her platform to speak out against police brutality and racial injustice, has joined Mattel’s effort to diversify its popular toy brand with dolls based on diverse role models and occupations.

She was named a Barbie Shero in 2019 to celebrate the brand’s 60th anniversary.

“Teamed up with Barbie back in 2019 but this time it’s officially official because today I’m introducing the Barbie Role Model Naomi Osaka doll. I really hope every child is reminded that they can be and do anything. This is really seeing a dream of mine come to life, having your own Barbie and potentially seeing little kids playing with it. Omg,” she captioned the post on her Instagram page.

To capture Naomi’s likeness, the doll is dressed in a blue-and-pink Nike tank top and shorts with a white flared skirt, just like she did at the 2020 Australian Open. Her Yonex tennis racquet, light-blue Nike sneakers, and a white visor that sits atop her highlighted curls round out the doll’s accessories.

Kevin Durant Trends Following Facial Reaction To Being Asked About His Nickname

One thing about Kevin Durant, he will serve you whatever energy he thinks you deserve. The NBA player doesn’t hold back with his word, but especially with his facial expressions. Fans got a taste of his reactions at a press conference and the innanet couldn’t get enough!

The NBA team held the media day of his team,  Brooklyn Nets on Monday. Apparently, comedian and televisions show host David Letterman opted to attend the event posing as a reporter. At the beginning, it was unclear whether he intended to play a prank or was simply filming for his own platform. Nonetheless, he introduced himself as “Dave from Basketball Digest.

“KD, why do people call you KD,” Dave asks Kevin. Before he can answer, David follows up asking if he can call KD by that nickname. “Yeah,” Kevin immediately responded. He follows that up with the explanation David wants to know.

“My first name is Kevin, with a K and my last name is Durant, with a D,” Kevin said.

The response had folks on social media going nuts. Not only are the words sharp and sarcastic, but the blank and seemingly annoyed face tells it all.

Then, David asks him what percentage of effort he plans to give on the court. Kevin responds saying “110%.”

Kevin seemingly goes along with this act by David, until the fake reporter brings up the Knicks. David reveals he spoke to the Dolan family, owners of the New York Knicks, and that the NBA is allowing Kevin to play for the Knicks on days off from the Nets.

“All right, Dave, that was the last one,” the NBA champion said. “They let anyone in here.”

Victor Wanyama Retires From International Football At Age 30

Former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama has announced his retirement from international football, the 30-year-old said on his official social media pages.

Wanyama’s announcement comes weeks after he missed out on recent national team duties.

“Growing up it was always my dream to get the chance to represent my country. With a great deal of pride, I can say that I have been fortunate to live my dream!” he wrote

“From making my debut against Nigeria to captaining the team at Africa Cup of Nations finals in Egypt-these past 14-years have gone beyond what I ever thought possible.”

“We have shared great memories together and I am proud to have been your captain and leader.”

“But all good things must come to an end eventually; and after long consideration, I have made the really difficult decision to retire from international Football,” said Victor Wanyama.

“The time has come to hand over the team to the next generation so that they too can make their mark and help our country reach even greater heights.”

“I hope to return one day and help the federation off the field but until then, I will still be Harambee Stars’ biggest supporter and I will be cheering you guy’s on from the sidelines,” said the former Tottenham player.

The last time Wanyama featured for Kenya was in the Afcon qualifiers played in November last year against Comoros which Harambee Stars lost 2-1.

Victor Wanyama started his professional career with Belgian side Germinal Beerschot AC in 2009 before moving on to Scotland giants Celtic for two years before joining Southampton on 11 July 2013 for £11.5m.

He became the first ever Kenyan player to score in the UEFA Champions League when he scored the first goal in Celtic’s 2–1 win over Barcelona on November 7, 2012.

He then joined Spurs from Southampton in the summer of 2016 but his career had been marred by bursts of nagging injuries, which have also kept him out of action in crucial parts of the season.

On March 3, 2020, Tottenham Hotspur announced the departure of Wanyama to Montreal Impact where he became the third Kenyan footballer to play in the MLS after Lawrence Olum and Handwalla Bwana and the ‘Lion of Muthurwa’ can’t wait to win the club fans from across Africa.

Partey Glitters As Arsenal Dismantle Uninspired Tottenham In Derby Game

Arsenal’s revival gathered pace as Tottenham’s recent decline continued in an entertaining north London derby at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners propped up the table after three games while Spurs were top under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo – how things have changed as a rampant Arsenal ripped their shambolic rivals to shreds in a brilliant first half.

Emile Smith Rowe started the celebrations for the Arsenal fans when he arrived unmarked to sweep home Bukayo Saka’s cross after 12 minutes before the scorer turned provider as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got the second midway through the half.

Spurs were producing a horror show and nothing summed it up better than Arsenal’s third after 34 minutes.

Harry Kane fell over the ball in a Spurs attack then missed two tackles on Saka as he raced back into his own penalty area to try to rescue the situation. Saka compounded the agony with a calm finish.

Inevitably, Spurs improved after the break, Kane bringing a good save from Aaron Ramsdale and wasting a good chance, before Son Heung-min pulled one back.

Ramsdale spared Arsenal any late anxiety with another superb stop, touching Lucas Moura’s shot on to the bar as Mikel Arteta’s side closed out a richly deserved win.
