Nana Kwame Bediako Unveils Dr. Maryam Issaka Kriese as Running Mate for 2024 Election

Independent presidential candidate and leader of the New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, has officially introduced Dr. Maryam Issaka Kriese as his running mate for the upcoming December 7 presidential election.

The announcement was made during a press conference held in Kumasi, where Nana Bediako praised Dr. Kriese’s qualifications and experience, stating that she was the ideal partner to help him steer the nation towards prosperity.

“As Senior Manager at the Securities & Exchange Commission, Ghana, she played a key role in shaping the country’s financial sector by overseeing investments, licensing capital market operators, and crafting essential regulations. Her leadership in training market participants and educating investors has positioned her at the forefront of financial empowerment,” Bediako noted.

Dr. Kriese is a renowned academic, having taught at the University of Ghana Business School and the University of Professional Studies, Accra. Her expertise in finance is supported by an impressive educational background, including a PhD in Finance, an MBA, and advanced certifications in Islamic Finance and ERP software. She is also a Muslim and a prominent advocate for women’s rights.

The New Force party has been gaining increasing support in recent months, as more Ghanaians voice their dissatisfaction with the current political landscape. The Bediako-Kriese ticket is being seen as a fresh alternative to the two dominant political parties in the country.

“Whether it’s through policy reform, advancing financial literacy, or contributing to innovative research, she remains a formidable force pushing Ghana and Africa towards greater financial inclusion and economic stability,” Bediako added.
