Malian Prime Minister Abdoulaye Maiga has arrived in Accra to deliver a special message from Mali’s President, Assimi Goita, to Ghanaian President John Mahama.
The Prime Minister is expected to meet with President Mahama on Thursday to discuss the contents of the message and explore related matters of mutual interest.
Upon his arrival, PM Maiga received a warm welcome at the airport from Marietta Brew, Legal Counsel to the President, and Prosper Bani, the National Security Adviser.
Details of the message and the discussions are yet to be disclosed, but the visit signifies the strengthening of ties between the two West African nations.
