Former President John Dramani Mahama his six-day campaign tour in the Ashanti region.
This follows the sad news of the death of the former head of state and the 4th republic president of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings.
Reports indicate the founder of NDC died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after battling a short illness.
Mr Mahama began his tour in the region on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.
The suspension of the campaign was announced in a statement signed by the spokesperson of the John Mahama campaign, James Agyenim-Boateng.
Mr Maham has also taken to social media to mourn the death of Mr Rawlings.
I have announced the suspension of my tour of the Ashanti Region and all NDC campaigns across the country following news of the passing of our founder and former President of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings. May his soul Rest In Peace.
