Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson explains how disappointed she is in the Vice President, Dr. Mahumudu Bawumia. The outspoken actress pointed out that she was revolted when the Vice President compared the current Coronavirus pandemic to ‘dumsor ‘ during the administration of the ex-president, Dr. John Dramani Mahama.
Lydia Forson made this comment due to a recently held press conference at the Flagstaff house with the current Vice President and journalists to respond to the criticisms the former president stated publicly concerning how Nana Akuffo-Addo, has managed the economy.
During the Vice President’s press conference, he compared how the ex-president managed the power crises in 2015 that crippled the country’s economy.
“Two major crises have befallen our country in the last decade- Dumsor and covid-19. The management of the economy under two different leaders during these crises period should be something we should all be interested in”. Bawumia said in a video shared by the Ministry of Information.
Responding to the post, Lydia Forson criticized the government for comparing two crises.
“I can’t believe we are comparing DUMSOR to COVID-19, a pandemic that threatens our very human existence. I am utterly disgusted and extremely disappointed by this comparison”.
Mentioning the information minister in her post, she added:
“@konkrumah I know if you were still on air you would have grilled anyone who made this statement, smh.”
