Ghanaian broadcaster Serwaa Amihere has opened up about the emotional challenges she endured following the circulation of an int!mate video involving her last year. Speaking at the Ignite Youth Empowerment Thanksgiving Service, Serwaa detailed her experience with depression and highlighted the critical support she received from her close friend, Obuobia Darko-Opoku, during the ordeal.

Recalling a particularly difficult moment, Serwaa shared how Obuobia’s thoughtful gesture helped uplift her. “I was depressed and crying at home,” she revealed. “Then she came and said, ‘Let’s go and buy ice cream.’ She picked me up and took me to Osu, even when I tried to wear a cap to hide my face. She encouraged me to enjoy the day and bought me a big cup of ice cream. That small act of kindness made a significant difference.”
