‘I used To Sell My CDs In Trotro But Nobody Bought It’- Kuami Eugene

Current VGMA ‘Artiste of Year’ Kuami Eugene has shared a heartbreaking story about his come-up in the Ghanaian music industry in a new interview.

The Lynx entertainment signee revealed that he used to sell his CDs in commercial vehicles, popularly called ‘trotro,’ but he wasn’t able to convince anyone to buy a copy.

“I used to sell my CDs in trotro. Nobody dey buy the CD but I will do freestyle and they will say ‘oh you are good. You have a nice voice but as for the CD I won’t buy it,” recalled the ‘Open Gate’ hitmaker on a new episode of ‘Celebrity Pulpit.’

Kuami Eugene recently revealed that that no lady has rejected his proposal ever since he became wealthy and famous.

While speaking in an interview with Pulse Ghana and sighted by Ghanaarticles.com, Kuami Eugene noted that after his rise to fame, he has not been bounced by a lady before.

The Open Gate hitmaker added that prior to his fame, he was rejected several times after showing interest in a lady and the rejection was based on the fact that he was not famous and was poor.

He recounted how he would get a ‘No’ from a lady he liked if he proposed to her all because they did not believe in him and his talent.

The Lynx Entertainment signee revealed that in recent times, some ladies go to the extent of offering him the good things of life including cars, money, and others in exchange for a romantic relationship.
