Glovo, a popular delivery service app, has announced its decision to cease operations in Ghana, with the official shutdown scheduled for the night of May 10, 2024.
The company cited the need for substantial investment over an extended period to achieve profitability in the Ghanaian market as the primary reason for its withdrawal.
In a statement released by Glovo, the company expressed its recognition of the potential of the Ghanaian market but highlighted the challenges of building a stronger position and achieving profitability.
As a result, Glovo has decided to redirect its resources towards the other 23 countries where it operates, aiming to better serve its millions of customers.
Glovo reassured its partners, such as Ma Cherie Restaurant, that all outstanding payments will be settled according to the company’s Terms and Conditions without delays.
