Ghanaian Protestors Demand Overhaul of Football Association Management

Accra, Ghana – February 14, 2024: A significant number of concerned Ghanaians flooded the streets of Accra today, rallying against the management of the Ghana Football Association (GFA). The protesters, comprising passionate football enthusiasts and citizens alike, voiced their dissatisfaction with the current state of the country’s football administration.

The impetus for the protest stems from the recent poor performance of the national team, the Black Stars, in major international tournaments. The Black Stars’ consecutive exits from the group stages of three successive major tournaments have sparked outrage among fans and raised serious questions about the competence of the GFA.

Protesters carried placards with messages condemning the GFA’s management and demanding immediate action to revamp the association. Chants of “Enough is enough!” and “Save our football!” echoed through the streets as demonstrators called for accountability and transparency within the GFA.

The protest aims to send a strong message to the GFA leadership that the Ghanaian public expects better governance and performance from the association.
