The Ministry of Interior has clarified that Friday, November 8, 2024, will not be a public holiday, even though the 40th Farmers’ Day celebration will take place on that date. Typically, Farmers’ Day is celebrated on the first Friday of December, which would have been December 6 this year. However, due to the upcoming general elections, the date has been shifted to November 8.
The Ministry stated that despite the rescheduling, December 6 will still remain the statutory public holiday.
