Portugal and Al Nassr forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has made history by becoming the first individual to amass one billion followers across all social media platforms.

The 39-year-old football icon, who already boasts the largest following on Instagram, has also set numerous records on YouTube after launching his channel, ‘UR. Cristiano.’

The YouTube channel gained 50 million subscribers in less than a week, a record for the platform. Impressively, within just 90 minutes of his first video going live on August 21, Ronaldo surpassed one million subscribers.
