Cases of the Bird Flu disease were previously recorded in 2007, 2015, 2016 and 2018, with a significant economic impact on affected poultry farmers.

It said, “The zoonotic nature of the disease calls for public alert and vigilance to mitigate the possible impact on the poultry industry and public health in general.”

Accordingly, the Ministry announces the following measures for immediate compliance:

1. A total ban on the importation of Poultry and Poultry products from neighbouring countries where the prevalence of the disease has been confirmed.

2. A ban on the movement of Poultry and Poultry Products within and from the affected regions and districts to other parts of the country, and strict inspection and issuance of permits to cover the movement of all poultry and poultry products from unaffected parts of the country.

ii. avoid the handling of dead birds with bare hands at all cost,

iii. consume only well-cooked poultry meat and poultry products.

SHOCKING: 18 Out Of 20 Gorillas Contract COVID-19 At The Atlanta Zoo

According to reports, officials in the State have confirmed that 18 of 20 gorillas at the Atlanta zoo have contracted COVID-19.

This comes a few days after employees reported their first case. Many gorillas had runny noses and were coughing with an appetite change.

Zoo officials let it be known that no evidence suggests animals can transmit the virus to humans despite humans being able to transmit it to gorillas. “While humans are known to be able to transmit the virus to animals such as gorillas, and these cases have occurred at other zoos, there is currently no data to suggest that zoo animals can transmit the virus to humans.”

Officials continued, “Regardless, Zoo Atlanta visitors do not pose a transmission threat to the gorillas or vice versa given the distance between the areas used by guests and the animals’ habitats,”.

Sam Rivera, senior director of the Atlanta Zoo, stated there was concern because there is a strict protocol around COVID-19, but the gorillas were still affected.

“The infections occurred in an area of the Zoo where COVID safety protocols are already at their most stringent,” Rivera said. “The use of PPE when working with great apes was already a standard practice at Zoo Atlanta due to their susceptibility to many of the same illnesses experienced by humans, including the common cold and influenza.”

At this time, the Atlanta Zoo is “using monoclonal antibodies to treat the gorillas at risk of developing complications from the virus,”.

What do you think about this?

Any Married Man Who Claims He Does Not Have Side Chick Is A Liar, I Have One And My Wife Knows It – Odike

Ghanaian businessman and politician Akwasi Addai Odike has disclosed that he proudly engages in extra-marital affairs which his wife is aware of and fine with.

According to the 57-year-old presidential aspirant, his wife knows her role and the side chick also understand her position thus they both respect each other and get along quite well.

Speaking to Nana Aba Anamoah on Starr FM, Odike said almost all married men have side chicks but they feel ashamed and guilty to reveal their identities.

He maintained that any married man who claims he does not have a side chick is a liar.

“I’m married with a girlfriend. My wife and girlfriend are both aware of this.”

“My father was polygamous, but I can’t sit here and tell Ghanaians I’m not. If any man is honest with himself and God. You do not have to swear to any woman that you are the only one. Never will I flatter anyone.”

“But if I discover that you are a suitable woman who can bring me joy, then sure. I expect my woman to understand me unconditionally and to love me unconditionally.”

Odike added that his primary source of happiness is women so he ensures that he treats women well, and have as many as he could afford to take care of.
