Catholic Priest Apologizes for Singing King Paluta’s “Aseda” During Mass

Rev. Father Peter Kusi Twumasi, the acting rector of St. Stephen Rectorate in Bodomase, Ashanti Region, has issued a formal apology to the Catholic community after leading his congregation in singing King Paluta’s song “Aseda” during a church service.

A video of the incident shows members of the congregation energetically joining in the singing of the secular song, which has since sparked a range of reactions from fans and social media users.

In his statement, Rev. Father Twumasi expressed regret for allowing a secular influence into a sacred setting, acknowledging that his actions had caused both confusion and offense. “I realize now that my mistake has caused offense and confusion, and for that, I am truly sorry,” he said.
