Ali Adolf John, Minister-Designate for the Northern Region, has pledged to revitalize the agricultural sector by establishing functional mechanization centers in all districts of the region. This initiative aims to boost agricultural productivity and make farming more attractive to individuals across the Northern Region.
During his vetting by Parliament’s Appointments Committee on Thursday, January 23, Adolf reiterated his commitment to agriculture, aligning with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) manifesto promise to expand mechanization services nationwide.
“If this committee gives me the nod, I will give agriculture very serious attention,” he stated. “We will ensure that the mechanization centers function effectively and that government policies benefit the people at the district level.”
Adolf also assured that the centers would be developed to meet farmers’ needs, emphasizing accountability and proper utilization of resources to ensure long-term benefits for the agricultural community.
The establishment of mechanization centers is expected to significantly improve access to modern farming tools, enhance productivity, and contribute to the region’s socio-economic development.
