Policy think tank IMANI Africa has rated President John Mahama’s performance at 50% for fulfilling half of his promises during his first 120 days in office.

Senior Research Associate Dennis Asare explained that any promise to “launch,” “initiate,” or “investigate” was considered fulfilled once action such as forming a committee or releasing a report was taken. However, he noted that 42 promises remain only partially achieved, including the flagship 24-hour economy initiative.
