President John Dramani Mahama has named Abigail Akwambea Elorm Mensah as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC).
Her appointment, outlined in a letter dated February 12, 2025, and signed by the Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama, is pending consultation with the yet-to-be-formed Council of State.
“I write to formally inform you that the President of the Republic of Ghana has appointed you as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) at the office of the President pending the required consultation with the yet-to-be-constituted Council of State,” the letter stated.
President Mahama extended his congratulations to Abigail Akwambea Elorm Mensah and requested her confirmation of acceptance within 14 days.
Currently, she serves as the Deputy National Women’s Organizer for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), where she has significantly contributed to policy development, stakeholder engagement, and leadership growth within the party.
She holds a Master of Commerce in Taxation from Pentecost University Graduate School, an LLB from the University of London, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Methodist University College. Additionally, she earned a Higher National Diploma in Accounting from Koforidua Polytechnic.
Abigail Akwambea Elorm Mensah is also a member of the Ghana National ADR Practitioners Association and has reached the final level of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana.
