In a significant reshuffle within the Majority Caucus, Bawku Central MP, Mahama Ayariga, has been appointed as the new Majority Leader in Parliament. He succeeds Cassiel Ato Forson, who has taken on the role of Minister of Finance.

This strategic realignment also sees Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, MP for South Dayi, set to become the Majority Chief Whip, replacing Governs Agbodza, who has transitioned to the position of Minister for Roads and Highways.

Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, MP for Cape Coast South, is expected to assume the role of Deputy Majority Leader, taking over from Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, who now serves as the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources.

Additionally, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, the current Second Deputy Whip, is rumored to be promoted to First Deputy Whip. This potential elevation aims to further strengthen the leadership team on the front bench.

The reshuffle reflects the leadership’s efforts to ensure effective coordination and stability as newly appointed ministers adjust to their roles. These changes are intended to foster collaboration between Parliament and the executive branch, advancing the government’s policy agenda and national development goals.
