A dramatic robbery attempt at a Forex Bureau near Las Palmas in Abeka Lapaz, Accra, ended mysteriously on Friday, November 22, 2024, after the suspects allegedly vanished despite being trapped inside the premises.
The two armed robbers reportedly stormed the bureau and demanded cash. However, quick-thinking bystanders locked the entrance, confining the suspects and employees inside the building.
When the police arrived at the scene, the building was still securely locked, with the assumption that the robbers and workers were still inside. However, upon forcing their way into the Forex Bureau, the robbers were nowhere to be found.
An eyewitness recounted the events to Channel One News, expressing shock at the robbers’ inexplicable disappearance.
A staff member of the bureau, speaking anonymously, assured that a formal statement would soon be issued with additional details about the incident. Meanwhile, the building remains under tight security as investigations continue.
