Today, 569,095 students are starting the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) across 2,123 centers nationwide. The exams will conclude on Monday, July 15, 2024.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) commended the students for their diligence and resilience in a statement released on Sunday, July 7. The GES also expressed appreciation to teachers, school heads, education directors, parents, guardians, and all stakeholders for their significant contributions in preparing the students for these exams.
The GES advised all participants, including candidates, invigilators, supervisors, school authorities, teachers, and parents, to avoid any examination malpractice. The GES, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), and security services are collaborating to ensure the exams proceed smoothly across all centers.
Furthermore, the statement informed parents, students, and the public that the school selection process would begin after the BECE, with details to be provided in due course.
