Reverse My Suspension or I’ll Sue – Suspended NDC Assin Central Secretary

Sadique Broni Yeboah, the suspended Secretary for Assin Central Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Central Region, has given the party a three-day ultimatum to lift his suspension or face legal consequences.

Yeboah, along with Regional Chairman Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu, was suspended for their involvement in suspending the constituency’s parliamentary candidate, Nurein Shiabu Migyimah.

In response to his suspension, Yeboah has vowed to seek legal redress if it is not lifted within the specified timeframe. The national leadership of the NDC intervened, declaring the suspension of Nurein Shiabu Migyimah invalid.

In a letter dated July 3, addressed to General Secretary Fifi Kwetey, lawyers representing Sadique Broni Yeboah demanded that the party revoke the suspension and grant their client a fair hearing, citing procedural flaws and a breach of natural justice.

The lawyers contended that the suspension breaches the party’s constitution and internal regulations. “We have the instructions of our client to demand from you the immediate withdrawal of his suspension within 3 days and to give him a fair hearing if you deem it necessary.”

“Be informed that we have received strict and unqualified instructions from our client to take legal action against you if you fail to comply,” portions of the letter stated.

Nurein Shiabu Migyimah was suspended as the Parliamentary Candidate over allegations of immoral conduct and anti-party activities. He was also accused of impregnating Sadique Broni Yeboah’s wife.
