Government of Ghana Releases GHS170.8 Million to Healthcare Providers

The Government of Ghana, through the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), has disbursed a total of One Hundred and Seventy Million, Seven Hundred and Seventy-Five Thousand and Thirty-Five Cedis, Seven Pesewas (GHS170,775,035.07) to various healthcare providers nationwide.

This payment, released on the 30th of April 2024, primarily covers claims from January and February 2024 for lower-tier facilities, which constitute the majority of healthcare providers, and extends up to November 2023 for upper-tier facilities and healthcare providers.

The disbursement is part of NHIA’s commitment to fulfilling its mandate and ensuring the continuous delivery of quality healthcare services to all citizens.
