Farmer Receives 21-Year Prison Sentence for Defiling 6-Year-Old Girl

A 39-year-old farmer from Dompim-Pepesa, in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality, has been sentenced to 21 years of hard labor by the Tarkwa Circuit Court for defiling a six-year-old girl.

Samuel Attomoh, the convicted farmer, admitted to the crime of defiling a female below the age of consent. Appearing before Judge Hathia Ama Manu, Attomoh pleaded guilty and requested mercy from the court, expressing regret for his actions. He stated, “I did not know what came over me to have committed the offence.”

Despite his plea, the court convicted Attomoh based on his own admission and sentenced him to 21 years of hard labor.
