2 Dead as Fuel Tanker Collides with Two Vehicles in Konongo

In a tragic accident in Konongo, Ashanti Region, two people lost their lives when a fuel tanker collided with two vehicles. The incident occurred as the tanker, reportedly experiencing brake failure, attempted to avoid a collision and veered into oncoming traffic.

The tanker struck a pickup truck with registration number GW 4031-21, killing its two occupants instantly, before also colliding with a Hyundai Elantra. Several other passengers sustained injuries of varying degrees.

CCTV footage captured the tanker’s failed attempt to regain control as it swerved across lanes, ultimately leading to the collision. The impact crushed the pickup and caused significant damage to all vehicles involved. Local authorities are investigating the accident and have advised drivers to exercise caution in the area while cleanup operations are underway.
