Werner Prepared To Skip RB Leipzig’s Champions League Commitments To Link Up With Chelsea

RB Leipzig are going through the best season in their history as they currently sit third in the Bundesliga and have already qualified for the Champions League quarter finals, but star player Timo Werner is prepared to miss their remaining games.

The German has reached an agreement with Chelsea and is set to complete a move to the English club as soon as the Bundesliga draws to a close.

According to Bild, Werner is willing to move to London before August to avoid risking an injury and get more time to adapt to his new environment.

The RB Leipzig striker has scored 31 goals in 42 games this season in all competitions.

Meanwhile, UEFA are expected to announce the dates of the Champions League fixtures this week.

It remains to be seen whether the competition will return in the same format or with one-legged quarter finals.
